Antique Furniture History , Indonesia Handycrafter Product
This trip took us through the Tudor style, which was strongly influenced by Europeans, the Elizabethan style, which was inspired by the work done by our Italian colleagues, the Jacobean style that appears repeatedly in oak and walnut furniture, and then right until the Baroque period.

The style of the following note was the Rococo style, and this is where the parties have departed from the simplest designs of his predecessors and more on the ornate, and detailed drawings of flowers.

The Rococo

The design style of antique furniture Gregorian was developed during the Rococo, and early works were also influenced by the Gregorian, the design of Queen Anne furniture set ideology has become almost a status symbol and that meant furniture assumed the role of comfort and versatility.

Certainly, it was clear that at the time of the mid-Gregorian, mahogany was the choice of wood, supplanting the previously popular nut. While the French Gothic style were evident during the Baroque period, English furniture makers were becoming more experimental, as it supported the design of pieces such as ornate mirrors and chairs designed with the backing of the tape.

The famous old English furniture maker Thomas Chippendale was influenced by the rococo style, and although their designs remain some of the features, stopped to full blown French influence. In fact, perhaps the most successful exponent of the rococo was a sculptor and furniture designer working in London UK in the mid-1700s, a gentleman by the name of Thomas Johnson.

As time goes on, so did the style. Late Gregorian project can almost be described as leaning towards the classic style furniture. In fact, you will hear this period known as the neo-classical period. During this time, elegant shapes, such as columns, ovals and circles were used.

The eclectic or Victorian

The Victorian era saw a revival of the old style combined with modern and new, and as a result you can often find the combination of both classic and contemporary furniture.

As the subtitle of this section indicates, the Victorian era is also known as the eclectic period, partly due to its eclectic revival of historic styles. He was also responsible for introducing many influences between cultures, styles and designs of Asia and the Middle East as evident in the furniture and accessories.

During the Victorian era, there was really a dominant style of furniture, with designers who prefer to use a combination of styles that refer to different time periods, such as Tudor, Elizabethan and neo-classical, to name a few. In fact, without doubt, the most popular styles during this period were the Gothic and Renaissance Rococo.

There is no doubt that the Victorian era marked a significant change in the design, perception and function of furniture. In general a person's home would have been neatly divided into separate rooms, with very clear distinctions between public and private spaces.

The room was considered the most important and often was a room dedicated to the furniture show. This meant that the room was used both and in many cases, reflects the style and status of household head, such was the importance accorded to it.

Just as at the hearing to be important, the dining room would have been the second most important room in the house. This meant that the trimmer was often a focal point, as in the style of your dining table and chairs around the table.

And so ends the second part of articles covering a brief history of antique furniture, and the many influences on the way that give us the diversity of styles and models that are still popular in many households today.

There is however, a lot more about teak furniture than the information available in the market. Mostly the information provided is half complete or fallacious. Basing your decision on inaccurate information could affect the quality and efficiency of the task accomplished.

Information is Knowledge

In fact effective knowledge about various types of outdoor furniture and materials used for it makes most of your knowledge base on using the best ones. Home owners often have to encounter extreme changes in climate or weather. Extreme heat, severe cold, and torrential rain are all parts of the weather fluctuations. Information is knowledge and knowledge is power. Having flawless information about the wooden furniture such as the teak furniture will enable one to make the best use of such materials.

Outdoor Furniture Protection

Visit any home or office, you will find people busy in shifting the outdoor furniture inside the house in order to protect them against bad weather. Conversely they could put some waterproof coatings on the furniture to protect them from vagaries of monsoon and extreme climates. When you use teak furniture for your outdoor uses no such worries haunt you. You can simply leave them outside despite all bad weather since the resistance to such weather condition is best in teak unlike many other wood species. Such convenience and ease of taking care makes teak one of the favorites for manufacturing outdoor furniture.

Growing Popularity of Teak

Popularity of teak furniture is constantly on the growth among the home owners and home makers. The convenience of using teak for outdoor furniture is one of the reasons for such popularity. Since teak grows in the tropical zones of Burma, Indonesia, and Thailand, it gives some distinct benefits. One is durability since it can last at least 10-20 years and the other is ease of maintenance. Teak is thus not only one of the best materials for indoor use but also for patio furniture and they have replaced the previously used wood species that were considered good for fluctuating climatic conditions. Apart from the uniqueness it provides in terms of color and usages, it is the only wood that is resistant to all types of conditions.
